Grilled Cheese Sandwich - 1

YAY!!!!!!!!!I got my new panini grill. I am so excited to try and make all these sandwiches and panini's now.
You can make these without a panini press or grill but the time you are going to spend on making these will make a big difference.
Anyways I am presenting all the different ways you can make it so that anyone can try making these yummy sandwiches at home.
First and fore most I kicked it off with my favorite grill cheese sandwich which will taste out of this world, I promise :). Hope you guys will like it too...
The recipe goes like this.

Ingredients

2 slices of sourdough bread (wheat or multi grain breads works great too)
1 tbsp Butter
3 or 4 thick slices of mozzarella
1/4 cup of cheddar cheese
1/4 cup pepper jack cheese
5 or 6 slices of dill or Jalapeno pickles
Handful of spinach or spicy arugula

Method

On a Panini press
Heat up the panini press.

Meanwhile, Butter both sides of both the bread slices. Lay one bread slice on the board. Sprinkle 3/4th of the cheddar and pepper jack cheeses.
Layer the pickles on top the cheeses. Now layer the mozzarella cheese on top of pickles. Add the spinach on top of mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle rest of the cheddar and pepper jack cheeses. Cover it up with the other slice of bread.
Now carefully, place the sandwich on the grill and press it. Leave it alone till the cheese is melted and top of the bread is golden brown in color( 5 to 6 minutes).
In an Oven
Preheat oven to 450 F. Butter one side of one slice of bread, and place butter-side down on a baking sheet and sprinkle 3/4th of the cheddar and pepper jack cheeses. Layer the pickles on top the cheeses. Now layer the mozzarella cheese on top of pickles. Add the spinach on top of mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle rest of the cheddar and pepper jack cheeses.
Spread butter on another slice of bread, and place the buttered-side up on top of the layered slice. If possible place some weight on top of the sandwich like a oven safe cast iron pan or a brick wrapped in foil to press down the sandwich.
Bake in preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Flip the sandwiches, and bake an additional 5 to 6 minutes, or until golden brown and till the cheese is melted.
In a skillet
Heat a large skillet over low heat. Spread butter on one side of one slice of bread. Place the bread, buttered side down in the skillet.
On one slice of bread sprinkle 3/4th of the cheddar and pepper jack cheeses. Layer the pickles on top the cheeses. Now layer the mozzarella cheese on top of pickles. Add the spinach on top of mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle rest of the cheddar and pepper jack cheeses.
Butter one side of the remaining slice of bread, and place on top of the layered slice, buttered side up. Now place some heavy pan or some sort of weight on the top to press down the sandwich.
When the bottom of the sandwiches are toasted, flip and fry until brown on the other side.

Transfer to a plate and serve hot with side of chips

Note

If using a oven or skillet I would suggest to toast the bread first for better taste. That is how I used to make it before I had this panini press.
